Yunpeng Gao is currently a full professor with the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University. He is one of Scholars received support from Young and Middle-aged Elite Scientists Sponsorship Project and “China's Scientific Innovations” Hundred Young Talents Program in Hunan Province. As IEEE Senior Member, he is praised as a Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions, Emergency Management Expert of Hunan Province and “Qianjiang” Distinguished Expert. He serves as the Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory, the Deputy Secretary-General and Director of the working committee of Hunan Electrotechnical Society, the director of Electromagnetic Measurement and Information Processing Instrument Branch of China Instrument and Control Society, the member of Instrument Science and Technology Discipline Education Committee of China Education Association of Machinery Industry, the member of Power Supply Safety Technology Committee of Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, the member of Energy Internet Equipment Technology Committee and Electrotechnical Theory and New Technology Committee of China Electrotechnical Society and the member of IEEE PES Technical Committee on Protection and Control of Distribution Networks and Digital Power Networks. He is the editorial board member of Journal of Hunan University, Journal of Southwest Jiaotong University and Electrical Measurement and Instrumentation.
